Norris of London patent adjustable 17 1/2" long A71 beech panel plane in used but OK condition. The beech body is OK still with a pretty decent mouth. Gunmetal lever cap and 1922 patent adjuster. Original thick Norris London parallel iron and backing iron of which there is 7/8" left to the slot. The rear handle is worn on both sides of the spur and has a solid hairline near the base. Priced accordingly.

Slightly neglected early Norris of London No. A51 annealed iron adjustable smoothing plane in original condition. Walnut infill is in good order with no issues, cast metal lever cap and 1913 ptent adjuster. Original thick Norris parallel iron and backing iron with 1 1/2" left to the slot. 2" wide blade. Slight pitting to the metal mostly the top of the iron and backing iron. Still a good users Norris plane at a sensible price.

Fine clean little used Norris of London A6 patent adjustabe dovetailed steel parallel sided smoothing plane. Gunmetal lever cap is unusual in the fact that there is no A6 stamped in the centre as normal. Stunning rosewood infill with all its original lacquer. 1922 patent adjuster. Near full length original thick parallel Norris iron and backing iron. There is slight pitting to the top of the iron which would suggest to me that the metal body of the plane may have been professionally cleaned. ...

April 2nd 1895 patent at the back. Very nice original rosewood handles with low front knob with no damage or cracks and near full length original blade. They don't come a lot better from this age. Well over 100 years old now !!!!

RARE early 19th century heavy beech, oak, walnut and iron Wheelwrights curved both ways plane. It looks a wee bit like a Coopers Chiv plane but it is not, it is definitely a Wheelwrights plane of some sort. Has been well used but is still perfectly ok with original wedge and thick curved iron. Nice colour. From our recent purchase of tools from an ancient Wheelwrights shop.

Fine basically unused Acorn, England No. 4 1/2 heavy large smoothing plane. All the original red finish with golden beech handles with original transfer and full length original blade. The handle bears the label CHAPMAN TOOLS by STANLEY which indicates this plane was produced shortly after Stanley took over Acorn in the last 1930's. Slight pitting to the sole otherwise like new.

Pretty decent Norris of London No. 7 dovetailed steel shoulder plane 1 1/4" wide. Rosewood infill is in good order apart from some scuffing to the wedge. The plane has an almost full length un-marked Norris design iron which produces a fine mouth. Good clean metal with no pitting.
