VERY RARE but well used early NORRIS, LONDON No. 6 dovetailed steel smoothing plane. Parallel sided with gunmetal lever cap and dark rosewood infill including FULLY ENCLOSED rear handle. Good length old replacement parallel iron by Robt. Sorby. Slight pitting to the metal on the sides but the sole has been professionally re-machined. Although well used this particular model of Norris smoothing plane is a very rare one and hardly ever comes up for sale. |
