Good 19th century Spiers pattern 14" long cast Scottish panel plane. Nice shape gunmetal lever cap with very nicely styled walnut infill including fully enclosed rear handle. Good length thick parallel iron by Robert Sorby produces a good mouth. Stand this plane next to a Spiers and you can't tell the difference. |
