Unusual 19th-century craftsman made butt gauge. The wooden body is made of lignum vitae with steel arms and brass dome head screws. There is an old crack to the body but otherwise this gauge arrives in fine working condition. Set your markings and measure depth effectively with this vintage butt gauge.

FINE & RARE Spiers of Ayr 9 1/2" long by 3/4" wide dovetailed steel double bullnose and rebate plane. Good original condition with near full length original Ward snecked blade which is cast steel. Extremely fine mouths. Nice dark rosewood infill. Stamped on the front. Very minor pitting spots in places but this example displays the finest mouths I have ever seen on one of these planes.
