RARE form of Billings & Spencer USA multiblade screwdriver. This must be a slightly later example than the normal 1896 patent versions I have seen before. All the versions of this tool I have seen have had a shaped rosewood handle to the top that slots into the round hollow end of the stem, I have never seen this version before. I assume the round top part would have originally had a rosewood insert. It definitely hasn't been adapted as the body is all cast in one piece including the ring...

Fine clean basically unused Record, Sheffield No. 044C plough plane in its original cardboard box. The plane is close to mint condition, the box is a wee bit bent. The plane is complete with all original parts, full set of cutters mostly unused and the original instruction booklet. The cutters are Tungsten Steel.

Early Record, Sheffield No. 020 compass plane in totally original condition. The plane hasn't done a great deal but has been slightly neglected thus there is some loss of finish and some slight discolouration to the metal in places. All original parts with near full length "Best Crucible Cast Tungsten Steel" blade. Good one for the user at a sensible price.

Good early, definitely 19th century, 13" long Scottish cast metal panel plane. Nice shape casting with gunmetal lever cap and screw and nicely moulded walnut infill. The front bun is a lovely shape with a boxwood striking button in the centre. The rear infil has a large enclosed handle with some relief carved decoration. The plane comes with its original thick 2 1/2" wide Mathieson parallel iron which produces a good mouth. The plane is in good condition for its age with no significant proble...
