Three pretty decent early heavy duty socketed mortice chisels as follows; 1/ 7/8" wide by Robt. Sorby Zb. with turned beech hande. 13" long overall. Good condition.  2/ 1/2" wide by A. Mathieson & Son of Glasgow with turned and steel capped hickory handle. Cast steel. Some pitting but the sharpening side is good. 13" long overall. 3/ 3/8" wide early one with no name and short beech handle. Good condition. 12" long overall. From our recent purchase of tools from an ancient Wheelwrights shop.

Pretty decent beech wedge stemmed plough plane, No. 5B by A. Mathieson & Son, Glasgow and Edinburgh with full set of 8 plough irons, all in good near full length condition. The plough plane is all original but as usual there is minor damage to the boxwood fence wedges. The set of irons are all by James Howarth except one which is by Marples. Really good usable plane.
