Good early John Rabone & Sons of Birmingham No. 1370 12" long boxwood and brass rule, level & plumb. Marked out in inches on both sides plus additional scales. Both bubbles are clear, the smaller one is original, the larger one an old replacement. Nice colour.

Unusual 7/8" square section 13" long scale rule of some sort. The only marking on it apart from numbers and scales is "MARNOIS FILS" I think it must be some sort of a shrinkage rule judging by the scales. Nice colour. 1 very small old chip to one end corner.

FINE & RARE 19th century Scottish 36" long square section boxwood and brass barrel dipping stick by P. Stevenson of Edinburgh. The first thing to say about this rule is it is the most gorgeous colour and patina. Marked "IMPERIAL GALLONS". Nicely engraved. Sorry not the easiest item to photograph.  UK postage only please.
