Superb, clean, traditional design Scottish cast smoothing plane that has just never been finished. I found this plane wrapped up in the bottom of a Patternmakers tool box. Lovely shape casting with the cove moulded front. The walnut infill has been superbly done by a very good craftsman. Plane requires a gunmetal lever cap and a blade and backing iron. 9 1/2" long by 2 3/4" wide. Very good condition.
