Early shape, screw sided, 20 3/4" long dovetailed steel jointing plane by Alex Mathieson & Son of Glasgow (stamped along the front of the front infill). Gunmetal lever cap with very nice dark rosewood infill including fully enclosed rear handle with full spur and no cracks or damage. Almost full length probably old replacement blade by Thomas Ibbotson of Sheffield with is cast steel and produces a tight mouth.
