Un-common Norris of London No. A3 patent adjustable, dovetailed steel parallel sided smoothing plane. 1920's vintage with the 1922 patent adjuster. Gunmetal lever cap with good original dark rosewood infill with open rear handle. Infill in good condition with no cracks to the rear handle. Original early Norris London back iron with good length probably old replacement blade by William Marples of Sheffield which is cast steel. The A3 is not a common Norris smoothing plane to find as many craft...
