Early Scottish cast smoothing plane for repair. Cove moulded front with lovely original gunmetal lever cap with the heart cut out and original knurled screw. Over-stuffed walnut infill is all OK apart from there is no rear handle which has obviously snapped off some time ago. Apart from the handle the plane needs a good clean up and a blade and backing iron. It is an early example so well worth restoring. 10" long.
