Basically good early 1920's STANLEY USA No. 4 1/2 low knob smoothing plane. Has the 1910 patent to the base with original rosewood fittings including low front knob. Near full length Stanley USA blade is probably an old replacement. Rear handle is cracked but secure (could possibly do with being repaired better). Apart from the handle a good clean example which is now 100 years old !!
