Fine clean little used Spiers of Ayr dovetailed steel, parallel sided smoothing plane in superb ALL ORIGINAL condition. Early 1920's vintage. Gunmetal lever cap with really nice dark rosewood infill. Open rear handle with full spur and no cracks. Almost full length original thick parallel Spiers blade and backing iron. Minor discolouration to the metal on one side but that is being super critical. Basically a really nice example which will provide many years of excellent use.
